It's that time again, time to roll the dice! The Clinton Hill Backgammon Club's Second Annual Summer Classique is upon us. June 15th at The Emerson in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. Bring a board and your A-Game for this two tiered event WITH re-buys and consolation round, guaranteeing you plenty of action! Play in the "Novice" tournament or try your luck in the "Open".

There will be booze, music, obviously backgammon, also someone will be taking home a trophy and a wad of cash (tbd). You can save by pre-registering here, or pay cash at the venue on the date of the tournament, providing we don't sell out. This is a one-day tournament so there will be a cap on participants.

FAQ:

Which tournament should I enter? If you're new to the game and not familiar with the doubling cube, enter the novice tournament. Otherwise, enter the Open tournament. If you're not sure, shoot us an email at clintonhillbackgammon@gmail.com or DM us on instagram @clintonhillbackgammonclub.

Do I need to bring my own board? Please bring one if you're able, but we will have extras!

What is the venue like? This event will take place at our home base, The Emerson bar. We will be running a full-service bar in addition to coffee and snacks so please feel free to support the bar and tip the bartender! This bar has supported us in countless ways over the years and we want to show them a good time. 

How long will it go? Due to the consolation round, past tournaments have gone all day and finished up in the evening. The Novice tournament will likely finish earlier than the Open.

What are the prizes? Money and trophies, more specifics TBD depending on turnout! 

When can I register? Registration is currently open and will close the day before the event. We will be taking day-of registrations provided we don't sell out.
