How do we enable the workforce as AI changes the way we work?
The CLO100 Impact Residency is a two-day residential working experience for senior L&D, talent and HR leaders.
In 2027, we are bringing together a group of senior peers to explore one of the most pressing questions facing organisations:
'As AI changes tasks, roles and ways of working, how do we enable people to adapt, perform and thrive?'
This is not your traditional conference with back-to-back presentations and sales pitches. It is a space to step back from day-to-day demands, examine the questions that matter in your organisation, learn from others facing similar challenges and leave with clear priorities and practical actions.
What to expect
Across two days, we will explore four connected questions:
- What work should change and what must remain human?
- What will people need to do well in an AI-enabled organisation?
- How will people build capability in the flow of changing work?
- How do we turn AI-enabled change into sustained performance?
The programme is being shaped with our delivery partners and combines practical workshops with structured peer learning, including fishbowls, coaching conversations, action-learning clinics and collaborative challenge sessions.
You will not simply hear ideas about AI, skills and workforce transformation. You will have time to test them against your own organisational reality, alongside peers who understand the strategic choices and pressures facing senior L&D leaders.

A more peer-led Residency
Following feedback from this year's attendees, the 2027 Residency creates even more space for real conversations, shared experiences and practical problem-solving.
- Thought-provoking workshops led by carefully selected experts.
- Honest fishbowl conversations about the choices, risks and opportunities created as AI changes work.
- Structured peer coaching to help you clarify what matters most in your own context.
- Action-learning clinics built around live workforce and capability challenges.
- Time to reflect, connect and learn from the experience of other senior learning leaders.
- A practical 90-day commitment to help turn insight into action after the Residency.
Your experience includes a pre-event insight pack, informed by current research and a delegate survey issued ahead of the event. This ensures the conversations, workshop activities and peer challenges reflect what is happening for the people in the room, not just the headlines about AI.
We will also explore
AI is changing the way work gets done, but the real leadership challenge is not simply introducing new tools.
- What to protect, what to rethink and what to build in the workforce?
- How do we ensure people develop the judgement, critical thinking, confidence and adaptability needed to work well alongside AI?
- How do managers create the conditions for people to learn through work?
- How can L&D help the organisation turn technological change into stronger capability and sustainable performance?
The 2027 Impact Residency creates the time and space for you to explore these questions properly.
Who it is for
The Impact Residency is designed for senior L&D, talent and HR leaders who are responsible for building capability, influencing workforce priorities and helping their organisation respond to changing business needs.
It is particularly relevant if you are:
- Navigating the implications of AI for roles, skills and workforce capability.
- Rethinking how people learn, develop and perform in a changing workplace.
- Seeking to build critical thinking, judgement, AI fluency and other essential human capabilities.
- Looking for practical ideas, trusted peer challenge and stronger strategic perspective.
- Ready to move beyond discussing the future of work and begin shaping a credible response.
What's included?
- 2 full days at the Impact Residency, including all workshops, coaching and materials
- Drinks reception on day 1
- Private attendee dinner on the evening of day 1

By reserving your place early, you will:
- Guarantee your place in the 2027 Residency group before the wider programme announcement.
- Be the first to receive confirmed agenda and updates.
- Receive the pre-event insight pack and delegate survey.
- Help shape the conversation by sharing the live workforce and capability questions you most need to explore.
- Join a carefully selected group of senior learning leaders for two days of practical, peer-led development.
The detailed workshop agenda will be announced once our delivery partners are confirmed. The core promise remains the same:
