Following a very successful tour here last year, supporting Joe Jackson, Mary Lee Kortes returns to these shores again, all the way from New York City USA, the internationally acclaimed Kortes has been hailed as "a masterful songwriter" (The Village Voice), whose songs have been praised as "so meticulously crafted they sound completely natural" (The New York Times). Described as many as an Alternative Bluegrass or Country singer, Mary defies pigeonholing with her "clear voice, direct lyrics and her poised and tuneful music... With flickers of wry humour, she sings about love and hope". Mary has previously opened for mega-stars such as Steve Earl and Bob Dylan, so don't miss her for this rare and intimate performance in the United Kingdom.

Also appearing, is the seven-fingered, piano-pounding, Yorkshire-dwelling Singer-Songwriter Carol Hodge, fresh from touring the country playing keyboards with legendary rock band The Wildhearts, Carol is perhaps best known to many as live co-vocalist and keys player touring the anarcho-punk songs of Crass with The Steve Ignorant Band around the globe. She returns to Peterborough with her solo show, which will feature songs from her four albums which Rock Sound Magazine have described as "Infectiously brilliant... eccentric and unpredictable, in a way that feels totally natural"
