Peter Street & Keelan McGrath with Gearóid McNamara in Concert

Peter Street & Keelan McGrath with Gearóid McNamara in Concert at Cnoc na Gaoithe, Tulla, Co.Clare on 6th December at 7.30pm

Tickets available on the door - €20 (cash only).

Keelan McGrath, an award-winning accordion player from Borrisokane, Co. Tipperary, is widely regarded as one of the finest musicians of his generation. Deeply influenced by legends such as Paddy O’Brien and Seán Ryan, and guided by his long-time teacher Ned Kelly, he carries their musical legacy with authenticity while bringing a fresh, personal voice to the tradition.

A multiple All-Ireland champion—including Senior Button Accordion winner at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2022—and recipient of the prestigious Bonn Óir Seán Ó Riada Gold Medal at just 16, Keelan’s debut album is both a tribute and a statement. It honours the rich musical heritage of his home region and beyond, featuring compositions from past masters alongside his own original works, shaped by his experiences, identity, and distinctive style.

Fionn O’Hanlon, John Paul Reynolds, Keelan McGrath and Simon Crehan

Keelan, John Paul and Simon met while pursuing the BA Irish Traditional Music programme at the Irish World Academy in the University of Limerick. In May 2023, Fionn was asked to join them for a concert in Kilbarron, County Tipperary. The concert was a roaring success, and the band was formed shortly afterwards.

This album features staples of our setlist to date. We hope that you enjoy listening to this record as much as we did making it.
