In this demonstration, Majeda Clarke will demonstrate the weaving process on her studio loom, illustrating how to to set up a new warp, showcasing simple tapestry weaving on a frame loom and allowing visitors to discover a weave in a progress.

About the Maker

Majeda Clarke is an award-winning artist specialising in weave. Her work is influenced by the Jamdani weavers of Dhaka who weave what the Romans once called 'woven air' and the sharp lines of Modernist Bauhaus design interwoven with pops of vibrant colour, bringing a modern aesthetic to an ancient craft.
