Thinking of applying to an Award or Bursary at Cockpit? Join us for an Awards Open Day on 17 March 2026 from 4.30-6.30pm at Cockpit Deptford.

This is an opportunity to find out more about Cockpit and hear from some of our current Awardees about their journey and how winning an award at Cockpit has helped them. You'll learn about how to apply and tips on what the panel are looking for at interviews. There will be an opportunity to ask questions and meet the Cockpit team and makers.

Cockpit Awards

Thanks to our generous funders, we are able to offer a number of Awards and Bursaries each year. These are funded places that provide free or heavily subsidised studio space for 1-3 years, giving you the time and space to develop your practice. Awardees also enrolled on our bespoke business training programme and get a dedicated business coach to work with you to define your goals and work towards them. Receiving a Cockpit Award is a tremendous achievement and an opportunity to work alongside leaders in the industry.
