Join us as we celebrate the grand re-opening of Cockpit Deptford! After 21 years on Creekside, this year we have been able to transform our Deptford studios into an open and welcoming space for the whole community. Come and take a look at our beautiful new public space, cafe and garden, created in collaboration with Cooke Fawcett Architects with funding from The Mayor of London's Good Growth Fund, Stride and London Borough of Lewisham.

The ribbon-cutting at 2pm will be followed by a rich programme of music, dance and spoken word performances, as well as opportunities to try some hands-on making and explore our brand new building. Full programme to be published soon.

Cockpit studios in Deptford is home to around 100 world-class craftspeople working across a broad range of materials and techniques, from leather-work and weaving to wood-turning and fine jewellery. Twice a year we hold Open Studios, which is a chance to glimpse behind the scenes, chat to makers about their inspiration and process, and also to buy beautiful examples of fine craftsmanship direct from the hands that make it.
