Join us for a beautiful evening of music with Calgary-born singer-songwriter Ellen Doty and her trio accompanied by Kensington Sinfonia (quartet). With a voice that is at once "soft, sweet, confident and assured" (CBC Music: Top Canadian Jazz Musicians under 35 List), Ellen Doty combines her deep love of Jazz with the influences of the great songwriters of our time. Her soulful music incorporates everything from pop and jazz to soul, folk, and indie music: a sound that is uniquely hers. A natural storyteller, Doty's songs are as intimate and as personal as their handwritten lyrics. Doty is signed to Alma Records (Universal Music) in Canada and to Impartmaint Records in Japan and has toured extensively. She is currently writing for her third full-length album.

Doty will be joined by Peter Hendrickson (drums), Devin Hart (piano), Kensington Sinfonia (Genevieve Micheletti (violin), Andrea Case (cello), Diane Lane (violin) and Liza Scriggins Lowry (viola)). Arrangements by Mark Limacher and Andrew Ball. You won’t want to miss this special performance!
