Tickets must be purchased singularly to register each Senior Archer (18+) @ £20.00 for the competition shoots. Note that CADAC is restricting entry to 18+ for this event as it is the first of its type that we have run. Future events may be expanded to cover Junior classes. Rounds |
The event will consist of two Olympic WA720 shoots - each being 12 ends of 6 arrows for a total of 72 arrows at a standard 10-ring target. The WA 720 Round, (a.k.a. an Olympic Round), is a long-distance target competition. It consists of seventy-two arrows, each worth a maximum of ten points shot at a distance of 70 meters for recurve & longbow and 50 meters for barebow & compound archers. Archers shoot at:
Targets will be a mixture of foam & straw bosses on H frames. Gates open at 8:30 am. Assembly at 9:30 am. Sighters for the first WA 720 rounds will be at 9:45 am. Parking is free in the Colchester Rugby Club car park, after registration on an iPad in the CADAC clubhouse The principal Judge will be Mr Paul Clark. CADAC have applied to make this event 'World Record Status'. Archery GB Rules of Shooting apply & Archers must produce proof of AGB/GNAS membership when registering at the Tournament. |
