The Colchester & District Archery Club's WRS WA1440 - 2026

Tickets are available for the Colchester & District Archery Club's 'WRS WA1440' event - to take place on Sunday the 20th of September, 2026.

Tickets must be purchased singularly to register each Archer (from any age group) @ £21.25 for the competition shoots. Note that CADAC is accepting entries for Archers under 18 but those archers will be expected to shoot 90 or 70 metres depending on gender. CADAC will, however, not be awarding age-specific medals for those placed in this event. Please purchase tickets using the green button above-right on this page ... Rounds

The WA1440 is a metric round where male Archers shoot three dozen arrows (36) at 90m, followed by three dozen arrows at each of the following distances: 70m, 50m and 30m.

36 Arrows at each distance gives a total of 144 arrows shot… each arrow is worth a maximum ten points and – therefore – a maximum score of 1440 points can be achieved.

The ladies 1440 (also known as a Metric 1) is 3x dozen (36 arrows) shot at 70m, 60m, 50m and 30m.

The longer distances (90m and 70m for men and 70m and 60m for women) are shot at a 122cm target face, the shorter distances (50m and 30m for both) are shot at an 80cm target face.

Targets will be foam bosses on H frames. Gates open at 8:00 am, inspections at 8:30 am, Assembly at 9:00 am, Practice will be at 9:15 am, with the event commencing at 9:30 am.

Parking is free in the Colchester Rugby Club car park, after registration on an iPad in the CADAC clubhouse

Archery GB Rules of Shooting apply & Archers must produce proof of AGB/GNAS membership when registering at the Tournament.
