Adult (18+) Dinghy Sailing Course

The course is aimed for beginners with no sailing experience who want to try something new or sailors with little experience who want to enhance their skills. During the one and a 1/2 day course you will learn the basics of sailing including, parts of the boat, sailing as crew, sailing as a helm and basic seamanship skills. The end goal depending on ability and previous experience is to be able to sail a dinghy by yourself or in a double hander act as competent crew. As well as the sailing it is an enjoyable way to spend time on the sea while trying something different.

Boat hire included in the price. RYA trained instructors with years of experience. We ask that participants bring their own wet suit, a suitable pair of shoes (trainers or wet suit boots) and sun cream. Each course lasts Friday evening and all day Saturday, most people will join two or more courses together to gain experience and ability.

Weekly course times as below, please ensure you have booked start date you prefer or book multiple short courses to gain more experience:

Friday 17:00 -20:00 and Saturday 09:30 -16:30   

Age 18 to any age, as long as you are physically fit.
