💃Porro hecho en Colombia:
Directed by singer-songwriter Adriana Lucía, Porro Hecho en Colombia is a vibrant journey into the soul of the Caribbean coast. This musical documentary traces the evolution of Porro—from its primitive roots in ancestral chants and African drumming to the influence of European brass instruments that formed the iconic "bandas pelayeras."
Set against the landscapes of Córdoba, the film explores a land where every labor and celebration is sung. Bridging the gap between traditional folk and jazz, it is a heartfelt tribute to the rhythms of bullerengue, mapalé, and fandango that define Colombia’s rich musical memory.

Official figures from Colombia’s national weather authority (IDEAM) show that rainfall in the Andean and Caribbean regions has exceeded historical averages by more than 70% – an unusually sharp increase for what is normally a dry season. The impact is most severe in Córdoba, where up to 80% of the territory remains underwater, with Atlántico, Bolívar, La Guajira, Magdalena, and Sucre also heavily affected.
More rain ahead as floodwaters threaten to rise again
Meteorological authorities warn that further rainfall is expected in the coming days, raising serious concerns that flooding may worsen in already saturated areas.
