The Lane County Healthcare Sector Partnership invites healthcare providers, healthcare employers, business leaders, and community stakeholders to participate in the Future of Healthcare Advocacy Forum focused on policy issues shaping the future of healthcare in Oregon and Lane County.
This interactive discussion will provide an opportunity to focus on top priorities for the upcoming 2027 legislative long session, share perspectives, and identify opportunities for greater impact. As healthcare workforce shortages, regulatory changes, and rising costs continue to impact access to care, it is critical that healthcare professionals have a strong and cohesive voice in policy conversations.
Key discussion topics will include:
- Oregon Medical Association's CareFirst Coalition and its potential impact on healthcare access, affordability, and provider operations.
- Corporate Practice of Medicine (CPOM) regulations and implications for healthcare organizations and workforce models.
- HR1 and its anticipated effects on healthcare funding, workforce, and community health services.
Participants will have the opportunity to discuss how these and other emerging policy issues affect healthcare access, workforce sustainability, and the economic vitality of our region.
