Katie Paterson: Afterlife Exhibition Preview

Join us on Thursday 18 June, 6 – 8pm, to celebrate the opening of Afterlife, a new sculptural installation by Katie Paterson.

Initially commissioned for Folkestone Triennial 2025, and now shown in Scotland for the first time, Afterlife is comprised of nearly 200 amulets. Each amulet is created with materials sourced from endangered landscapes and fragile ecosystems, exploring themes of deep time, geology, and the environment. Drawing on centuries of cultural and spiritual traditions, Afterlife prompts us to reflect on the fragility of the natural world today.
