Purling Brook Falls, Springbrook National Park || QLD

Join hike lead Ruby for a guided hike making our way through open eucalypt forest before descending into the gorge and lush rainforest below. Along the way, we’ll take in views of the waterfall from above and below, cross the suspension bridge at its base and make the steady climb back to the top.

🌿 What to Expect

This is a social, community-led hike, designed to help you spend time outside, discover a beautiful local trail and meet other like-minded people. We’ll move together as a group, with time to catch your breath, enjoy the scenery and take plenty of photos along the way. This trail is approximately 5km, with some steep stairs heading in and out of Springbrook National Park.

Distance: 4km
Duration: Approx. 2-2.5 hours at a social pace (including breaks)
Difficulty: Moderate (steeper stair sections)
Terrain: Mix of wide tracks, stairs, and forest trails

🚗 Meeting Point, Parking & Park Info
Meeting Location: Purling Brook Falls (exact location will be shared prior to event)
Meet at 8 AM for a 8:15 AM start

Arriving early and carpooling is recommended. We will be sharing a WhatsApp group link closer to the event that you can join.

🌤️ Weather & Safety
This event is weather-dependent. In the case of unsafe conditions (extreme heat, heavy rain, or park closures), participants will be notified via email the day before. Please stay on marked trails, follow the guidance of hike leaders, and take care on rocky and exposed sections.
