As daft as it is deft, Tom Taylor’s highly individual musical comedy is a surefire winner in front of any crowd. During the dark days of lock down, Tom collaborated with David Walliams, Mel Giedroyc, Graham Norton, Clare Balding and even Cliff Richard to create The Isolation Song Contest. Not only did this earn a very tidy sum for some very good causes but won Tom a Chortle Award into the bargain! When not performing stand up Tom writes and performs one man murder mystery plays.
“Wave after wave of funny” The Scotsman “Gloriously silly” The Stage “Excellent … beautifully daft” Sunday Times
If you have ever had the pleasure of visiting Alexander’s Comedy Club in Chester ( Britain’s longest running provincial comedy club, we are told) then, the chances are, you have had the pleasure of seeing it’s resident compere; Danny Mcloughlin. As well as Alexander’s he regularly performs at The Comedy Store, The Glee and Manford clubs, various music festivals and been regular MC for the coveted Edinburgh Comedy Awards Gala. Both Micky Flanagan and Sean Lock have asked him to support them on tour, so he did!
‘Innate comic timing, insightful digressions and ability to think on his feet puts him alongside the most talented and genuinely funny comedians!’ Three Weeks
One of Britain’s funniest and most original comics, Alun Cochrane has popped up on everything from Have I Got News For You to 8 Out Of 10 Cats to Frank Skinner’s Absolute Radio show. Expanding life’s more mundane details into eye wettingly funny routine has been his mainstay for many a year. Whether it’s crisp packet opening etiquette or the buddy bench at your kids’ school, Alun has done all the thinking for you. Later years have seen him take on modern life’s more contentious topics but don’t worry, laughter is awlays first and foremost and, if you have been left with a little bit to think about, then all the better.
“Alun Cochrane’s ability to make the little things in life a comedy goldmine is phenomenal” Chortle
Liverpool’s Adam Rohan takes the middle spot.
