A TABLE FOR WINCHESTER

A Table for Winchester is a one-night shared dining experience inside The Great Hall, created to celebrate the city through the independents and people who give it character.

For centuries Winchester has been a city shaped by shared trade, market life and the breaking of bread together - a place where people, produce and stories have always met.

Now days Winchester is often experienced in sections and spaces — a coffee from one place, a cocktail somewhere else, a pizza from another. For one evening, we’re bringing that landscape together onto a single long table.

80 guests will gather around an abundant spread of food shared by independent businesses from across Winchester — some of your favourite high street names alongside more understated artisans of the city.

Bread beside tacos, wine beside tea, pastries beside pasta — different makers, flavours and stories brought together as one collective table.

Rather than separate businesses in separate spaces, this evening is about bringing Winchester’s independents together and showing the city as it truly is underneath: connected. Though independent, they are also interdependent — sharing many of the same suppliers, the same customers, the same teams, and the same city.

Set within one of Winchester’s most iconic buildings, guests will share food, conversation and atmosphere in a setting designed to feel warm, generous and immersive.
