Join us for Writing Black @ The House, a monthly gathering that centers and prioritizes Black Creatives in a supportive and empowering community. Our meetings are crafted for the artist within, exploring topics such as navigating anger in creativity, writing about love, overcoming self-doubt, and embracing our cultural roots in storytelling.

Our regular meetings take place at Common Area Maintenance on the second Wednesday of each month from 5:30 to 7:30 PM. This consistent schedule provides a reliable opportunity for our vibrant community to come together, reflect, and grow.

Whether you're an experienced writer or just starting on your creative journey, Writing Black @ The House welcomes you to join us as we explore, learn, and grow together.

At 'Writing Black At The House,' our mission is to cultivate a vibrant and inclusive community that celebrates, centers and prioritizes Black creatives across various artistic disciplines, including writers, photographers, musicians, and more. While writing remains central, our commitment extends beyond writers to support a diverse range of creatives. We go beyond traditional creative support by placing a central focus on the holistic well-being of our artists — addressing both their mental and physical health. Through transformative workshops, enriching events, and a commitment to diversity, we aspire to amplify diverse voices, elevate storytelling, and create an environment where every creative feels valued, heard, and inspired. We aim to nurture the complete artist by championing wellness practices that foster resilience, balance, and a thriving creative spirit.
