Mahjong at Burden of Proof

Common Ground is bringing a mahjong teaching workshop to Burden of Proof, San Gabriel Valley’s first non-alcoholic bottle shop. Located in the heart of South Pasadena and founded by partners Obreanna McReynolds and Dean Peterson, the shop is redefining how people experience non-alcoholic beverages. With a welcoming community space, Burden of Proof offers a curated selection of non-alcoholic beer, wine, spirits, and groceries—proving that not drinking can be just as fun and delicious as the alternative.

Tickets are offered on a sliding scale. Free tickets are prioritized for QTBIPOC, though anyone in financial need is welcome to reserve a ticket. The ticket price includes a complimentary non-alcoholic cocktail from Beckett’s, while snacks are available for purchase at the shop.
