Description

~~ What is mindfulness? How does it apply to my everyday life as someone living in London? How can it benefit me? ~~

All good questions! Join us for this 4-week introductory course to explore the principles, teachings and practices of mindfulness, adapted and expanded from the work of Jon Kabat-Zinn, PhD.

This course will help you to improve your relationship to adversity, yourself and those around you. Mindfulness is backed by rigorous scientific studies, showing that it increases neuroplasticity (or flexibility) in the brain - enabling you to create new pathways wired for greater calm, balance and compassion.

Over the 4 weeks, we will explore awareness of the present moment, shifting perspectives, self-inquiry, mindful movement, mindful communication (pairs work and group sharing) and more. Whether you are completely new to mindfulness, or would like to take your solo practice further with the support of a group, you are very welcome to join.

No physical prerequisites; some basic movement will be involved but it can all be adapted to your needs. If you do have any physical or psychological issues, please get in touch with Kerry before the course to discuss how she can best support you: mindovermonkey@outlook.com

*Please note - this is not a drop-in class; it is a closed group, so you pay one fee for the 4 weeks. The classes run from 10.30am-12.30pm every Saturday from 11th Jan - 1st FebĀ *
