Arabic Sip and Paint [ceramic mug and glazing]

For one evening, we’re bringing an Arabic coffee cup making class to Manchester. Each of the coffee cups has been made by hand in the Yellowhammer studio so spaces are very limited.

We’ll spend the evening with ceramic artist Luna, painting our own Arabic coffee cups while learning about the colours, patterns and objects that connect us to the Arab world.

Luna has designed each cup individually - the beautiful shape is inspired by Arab coffee cups of the Middle East and her own Kurdish heritage.

No experience necessary! You can take inspiration from your own heritage, somewhere that feels like home, or simply a pattern you really like. There’s no right answer - honestly!

Drinks will be available from Nest Collective throughout the evening. There will be wines and also a special Mediterranean Hugo Spritz for the evening. (It’s gorgeous!)

Once you’ve finished, Luna will glaze and fire your cup so it’s food-safe and ready to use. You’ll then be invited back to Nest for a little coffee morning to collect it.

Come alone or bring your friends. You’ll meet amazing new people on the night. We’ll have the coffee, the cups and the paints. You just need to bring yourself - and maybe a little artistic confidence.

A portion of profits will be donated from the night to a Palestinian Mutual Aid Fund. Tickets are non-refundable.
