community pulse - full rehearsal cycle

We're inviting our community to join the artists of common pulse in a joyful and accessible process of music making. Over the course of three rehearsals and one culminating event, we will sing songs together as a practice of courage, solidarity, and hope. We'll focus on music rooted in resistance movements past and present, and other music that tells the stories of our strength in the face of authoritarianism. Singing in community steadies our breath, strengthens our bonds, and helps us remember that we belong to one another. It points us toward action that helps us create a better future.
You can sign up to join us for a full rehearsal cycle, or for just the culminating community sing event. This ticket page is for those who wish to join for all or most of the four gatherings, including rehearsals. You can participate even if you can't commit to all four gatherings. If you want to join for only the culminating community sing event, click here.

No musical background is needed to participate in this process, as we'll provide a variety of entry points into learning the music, which will feel fulfilling whether or not you have experience reading sheet music. This experience is appropriate for adults, and for children with a parent/guardian present. Free childcare will also be provided for children 2 and older, with participating parent/guardian.
This event is priced on a sliding scale as pay-what-you-can. Your experience will be the same no matter which registration level you choose. If you have the financial capacity to cover your participation above the production cost, you can help us make this experience available to more people.
The event venue has an accessible entry, elevator, and restroom. For additional accessibility questions, contact us at the email below.
