London Community Energy Fund: How to make a successful application

Community Energy London (CEL) were delighted to see that the Mayor announce on 1 July a new round of the London Community Energy Fund . This is the ninth round of funding to support community-led climate and energy action - LCEF9 - and is the largest amount of funding released to date for the sector - at £1.3 million.
What does LCEF9 do?
LCEF9 s fund supports the feasibility, development and delivery of community energy projects in London.Who can apply:small organisations, with charitable aims, operating in London. Further details below.
How much is available?
a total of £1.3 million is available across the three streams. Apply for up to:
- £10,000 for stream one (feasibility)
- £60,000 for stream two (delivery)
- £3,000 for stream three (development fund)
When is the deadline for apply?
30 September 2026 at 11.59pm for stream one (feasibility) and stream two (delivery).
