London Community solar energy opportunity review

Fri 24 Jul 2026 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM BST Online, Zoom

The Zero Carbon Accelerator, led by Mott MacDonald, have conducted analysis to support the London boroughs and the wider community energy sector to identify a shortlist of 10 good opportunities for community energy projects in each London borough. The summary results of this analysis are presented in the following report on London Councils website - here.

This summary study is supported by 33 individual reports for each borough, that cover:

• Identification of possible high yield solar sites that could be developed by CEGs
• Indicative energy performance and financial metrics per site
• Potential operating models
• Planning and grid connection considerations
• Next steps for boroughs to progress opportunities

This webinar will provide details on the analysis that underpins this study, and a summary of the results.
