Richmond Council x CEL: The Benefits of Community Energy

Richmond Council and  Community Energy London (CEL) are hosting a series of four events exploring the potential for community energy in the borough.

Our third event  'The Benefits of Community Energy' will examine how community energy can:

• Help community buildings lower energy bills through renewable energy and energy-saving improvements.
• Fund local energy projects through community share offers, giving residents the chance to invest in solutions that benefit their area.
• Create local green jobs, training and skills opportunities in renewable and energy-efficient technologies.

We're delighted to welcome three inspiring speakers who will share their experience and insights from successful community energy projects.

Whether you're passionate about climate action, or setting up a community energy initiative, or simply curious about how community energy could benefit Richmond, join us for what promises to be a fun, informative and inspiring evening.

What is Community Energy?

Community energy is where people come together to engage in energy-related activities, usually in response to concerns about climate change, inequality and fuel poverty. Projects are designed to have local benefits and are led by local people – and activities can include generating renewable energy, efficiency measures and initiatives supporting greener environmental behaviour.
