London's Community Energy Task Force Summit

On behalf of the Mayor of London’s Community Energy Task Force (CETF), I am delighted to invite you to the London Community Energy Summit, taking place on the morning of Friday 16^th October 2026 at City Hall, London.

Our focus will be on how we can accelerate action on community energy in the coming years. We will highlight the work of the London Community Energy Task Force and hear from community energy groups about achievements to date. Mete Coban MBE, the Deputy Mayor for Energy & the Environment will set out work that his team is doing on this. 

Our aim is to bring together public sector organisations, businesses, investors and London boroughs with community energy groups to explore future opportunities for collaboration as the Government's new £1bn Local Power Plan is rolled out. The event will also mark the launch of the Community Energy Task Force’s report, which sets out a pathway to accelerate the growth of community energy across London and achieve 1,000 community energy projects by 2030. The report reflects the collective work of the Task Force facilitated through a series of workshops over the past year, and outlines practical recommendations to help unlock the next phase of community energy delivery across the capital.
