11.45am – Accelerating community energy in your LA area with Karen Nangkwanga from the GSENZ Hub, Vicky Reed from Uttlesford District Council, and Ben Sharpe from Ethex. 

12.30pm – Community energy in Essex with intros from Tendring Comunity Energy, Common Green and Peacock Community Energy covering progress and plans for the future. 

1.15pm-2.15pm – Lunch and networking plus demo of the big steam engine!

2.15pm – Key factors to accelerate community energy in Essex with Tom Day from Essex County Council  

2.30pm – Breakout rooms with two Workshops

Workshop 1: Unlocking big rooftop solar in Essex – farms, Council buildings, commercial buildings, warehouses - how do CE groups start the conversation with landlords and tenants and what are the key benefits to talk about to engage them?

Workshop 2: Local Authority and Community Energy Collaboration to deliver Schools Solar - what's the process that needs to be followed and how can School Leaders and Council Officers facilitate community energy groups to deliver community-owned solar on schools? What are the perceived risks and how can they be mitigated?

3pm – Closing summary by CEP
