Where: The meeting point is at Pillars of Hercules caffee around 10:30am for an 11am start. Address: Pillars of Hercules, Falkland, Fife, KY15 7AD. We will meet at the coffee and then walk to the Falkland Estate.

Note: This is an intergenerational event. If you are bringing your child, please book ticket for each child and each adult participating. Booking is essential, no drop-in, spaces are limited to 50. This event is open to all: parents, grandparents, children and friends.

ABOUT THE COMMUNITY GATHERING

Creating nature-connected people and communities. Empowering future generations. This event is for the wider communite as well as for everyone who has Nature Connection knowledge and would like to share their skills.

This BIG community gathering is suitable for everyone interested in connecting deeper with nature and is an opportunity for you to create and be surrounded by community.

At this BIG Community gathering, we use the 8 Shields model which is dynamic design tool useful for all aspects of our lives from understanding our natural rhythms, to repairing our neurobiological and sensory systems.

The 8 shields model can be used for planning events and projects to designing peaceful regenerative communities and culture repair. It is a pattern language that has been tried and tested over millennia of human existence, all over the world and it belongs to us al.

The Planetary Healing Centre in partnership with Adele Clarke and the Centre for Stewardship: The beautiful and historic Falkand Estate offers us the chance to deeply connect and immerse in nature in a landscape of diverse habitats.

ABOUT ADELE CLARKE

Adele brings a deep well of knowledge to her always well-attended workshops and gatherings delivering nature connection, deepening our nature connection and 8 shields activities since 2010. Some of her experience includes: Scottish Sustainable Communities Initiative- delivering nature connection activities to school groups/ home education groups in Edinburgh and Fife. Studies of Indigenous People & Knowledge Systems- e.g. Q’ero and Quechuan peoples of Peru and Bolivia and the Misak of Colombia

DONATIONS: Suggested donation between £5 and £25 according to financial means. We would like Planetary Healing work to be inclusive and accessible to all, therefore, if you are not able to donate and need a FREE space, please feel free to book.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Space is limited, so if for any reason you need to cancel, please let us know asap, so we can free up the space for others on the waiting list. Due to the amount of work involved, tickets are non-refundable.

WEATHER: Most of the time we will be outdoors, please come prepared for all weather.

WHAT TO BRING: Please come in warm clothes ready for all weather. Layers are recommended and outdoors footwear. We will provide tea and cups. If your group is 3 hours or longer, please bring a packed lunch

PHOTOS: Occasionally we take group pictures for promotions and funders, if you would prefer not to be in the picture, please communicate this to the facilitator on arrival.
