Nature Connection Community Gathering - Falkland Estate

Booking here is essential as spaces are limited. No drop in. This event is open to: parents, grandparents, children and friends. Parents are responsible for their children at all times.  You need to book each child here as well as yourself. 

WHERE: The meeting point is at Pillars of Hercules Cafe around 10:30am for an 11am start. Address: Pillars of Hercules, Falkland, Fife, KY15 7AD. We will meet at the Cafe and then walk to the Falkland Estate.

Creating nature-connected people and communities. Empowering future generations. 

This event is for the wider community as well as for everyone who has Nature Connection knowledge and would like to share their skills.

This community gathering is suitable for everyone interested in connecting deeper with nature and is an opportunity for you to create and be surrounded by community.

At this gathering, we use the 8 Shields model which is dynamic design tool useful for all aspects of our lives from understanding our natural rhythms, to repairing our neurobiological and sensory systems.

The 8 shields model can be used for planning events and projects to designing peaceful regenerative communities and culture repair. It is a pattern language that has been tried and tested over millennia of human existence, all over the world and it belongs to us all.

The Planetary Healing Centre in partnership with Adele Clarke and the Centre for Stewardship: The beautiful and historic Falkand Estate offers us the chance to deeply connect and immerse in nature in a landscape of diverse habitats.

ABOUT ADELE CLARKE

Adele brings a deep well of knowledge to her always well-attended workshops delivering nature connection, deepening our nature connection and 8 shields activities since 2010. Some of her experience includes: Scottish Sustainable Communities Initiative- delivering nature connection activities to school groups/ home education groups in Edinburgh and Fife. Studies of Indigenous People & Knowledge Systems- e.g. Q’ero and Quechuan peoples of Peru and Bolivia and the Misak of Colombia

CANCELLATION POLICY: Space is limited, so if for any reason you need to cancel, please let us know asap, so we can free up the space for others on the waiting list. Due to the amount of work involved, tickets are non-refundable.

DONATIONS: When you make a donation, you are supporting the continuation of our charitable work in the future. If you cannot make a donation because of your financial circumstances, you can access this work for FREE. We aim for this work to be accessible for everyone and we thank our funders for their support. If you need support with transportation costs, please contact us.

WEATHER: We will be outdoors, please come prepared for all weather.

WHAT TO BRING: Please bring a packed lunch and a flask of hot drink. Come in warm waterproof clothes. Layers are recommended and outdoors footwear.

PHOTOS: Occasionally we take group pictures for promotions and funders, if you would prefer not to be in the picture, please communicate this to the facilitator on arrival.
