Mindful Photography - Sundays
Dates on Sundays: 17 May, 14 June, 12 July
Facilitator: Ines Gennuso from "Seeing the Now"
Time: 11am to 1pm
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
An opportunity to slow down, take notice of your surroundings, and reconnect with your creativity.
Mindful photography is a gentle, meditative practice that offers a chance to rest the thinking mind and return to the present moment. It invites a deeper appreciation of nature and the environment while fostering relaxation, clarity, and receptiveness.
Part 1 — Introduction
Brief introductions, a short reflection on what we might explore, and simple breathing exercises to ground us and quieten the mind.
Part 2 — Photo walk
We move gently through the space — walking, looking, and listening — allowing our senses to guide us toward the images we feel drawn to capture.
Part 3 — Closing conversation
A relaxed conversation sharing what we noticed, what drew our attention, and what we chose to capture.
MEET INES
Ines — Mindful Photography Facilitator | Seeing the Now
After completing a degree in photography, Ines spent 20 years capturing interiors and gardens — until life took an unexpected turn. Health challenges forced her to slow down and to shift her focus inward. During this time, mindfulness and inner work became important supports in her daily life, helping her stay grounded and present.
Photography, once a career, evolved into a more contemplative practice — a way of seeing with presence and intention. This journey gave birth to "Seeing the Now", where Ines combines her love for photography with mindful presence facilitating this work in different communities in Edinburgh.
