Description
The responsibilities of Chairs of charities are extensive and can vary greatly between organisations. The Chairing Network at Community Foundation exists to explore key themes affecting all Chairs and to bring you together with your peers. We hope you will join us at Newcastle Cathedral for this event.
We are delighted to welcome our guest speaker James Carss, CEO of Castle Peake Group to deliver an interactive workshop exploring ‘EDI and managing unconscious bias in trustee recruitment’. This session is for you if you are an experienced Chair seeking fresh inspiration for developing your board or an aspiring Chair preparing for your next steps in governance.
James is the founder and Chief Executive of Castle Peak Group. He has a professional background within executive search for over 20 years, is certified in Understanding Diversity and Inclusion, and Assessment, Interviewing & Onboarding from the University of Western Australia. He is known and regarded for his values, integrity and knowledge and has worked all over the world before relocating to his native north east.
Join us to share your experiences or listen-in to the conversation. You will leave the session feeling energised and with practical guidance for building an effective team.
This event will begin with our guest speaker followed by the opportunity to network.
