Chairing Network - 8th July 2025

The responsibilities of Chairs of charities are extensive and can vary greatly between organisations. The Chairing Network at the Community Foundation exists to explore key themes affecting all Chairs and to bring you together with your peers. We are delighted to bring this event to North Tyneside and hope you will join us at VODA, with sincere thanks to the team for hosting the Network.

This session is for you if you are an experienced Chair seeking fresh inspiration for developing your board or an aspiring Chair preparing for your next steps in governance.

Join us to share your experiences or listen-in to the conversation, as always, there will be the opportunity to network with your peers, hear from guest speakers and gain new perspectives on Chairing.

Your host is Colette Harrison, Sector Support Manager at Community Foundation North East. We will also hear from Ray Lowry, our host and Chair at VODA. 

Our guest speaker is Ashley Summerfield who will speak about ‘The Role of the Chair in Developing a Great Board’. Ashley leads Egon Zehnder’s global CEO and Board Consulting Practice Ashley Summerfield, London Office - Egon Zehnder
