This session will provide an introduction to adopting safer cultures within voluntary and community settings. Some of the topics covered within the session will include: identifying and recognising abuse; understanding what safeguarding is and how we can protect children, young people and adults from abuse; safer recruitment; policies and procedures; where to get help and what to do if you suspect someone is being abused; and managing allegations within your setting. The course will provide an overview of safeguarding throughout, and then focus on safeguarding services in the East Riding and North Lincolnshire.
