Area Search Introduction Session - Macclesfield

Area Search is all about giving dogs the opportunity to search a specific area to locate a scent. That scent might be a specific odour, food or even your dog’s favourite toy, the actual scent doesn’t matter.

What matters is what searching does for the dog.

Through searching, we build:

This is not competition scentwork.

This is scentwork designed to help dogs leave fear and pessimism behind. To create dogs who feel safer, more capable and easier to manage in the real world.

During the introduction session we will:

🐾 Introduce the scent best suited to your dog

🐾 Teach simple dummy drops

🐾 Help you learn to read your dog

🐾 Show you how Area Search works

🐾 Introduce our drop in Area Search sessions

Each team will get a folder with progress sheets to record actions.

If you want to attend our drop in sessions you must attend an introduction session first.

Whether your dog lacks confidence, struggles with the world around them or simply loves to use their nose, these sessions are designed to meet the dog in front of us and help them thrive.

All dogs will be worked individually so this session is suitable for all including those who may be worried by dogs and people. If you’re unsure if it’s suitable please message for a chat.
