MORE ABOUT THE TALK

Our first meeting of 2026 on 22nd January, welcomes our long term speaker Neil Ward. He will be sharing his research on the quality of our water supply and the toxins it contains and we will have some additional information on options to improve this.

Neil has spent time researching and analysing the quality and toxins contained in our tap water and his findings would suggest it is not as healthy as it should be! His work has recently been included in a BBC documentary called ‘Poison Water’. His talk will cover drinking water standards & regulations, treatment processes, what should be in water, how much water is healthy to drink and more.

This talk will aim to summarise the in depth research Neil has carried out and we also want to include some ways we can all make our tap water healthier. For those in the hall we will have some ‘clean’ water for tasting.

MORE ABOUT THE SPEAKER:

Neil has 40 years’ experience in analytical technique development and application for the measurement of chemicals, especially trace elements, in human health conditions, environmental global impact issues and quality of food and the impact on nutrition and good health.
