Carel Kraayenhof
Carel Kraayenhof is the Netherlands’ most prominent bandoneonist and an internationally acclaimed ambassador of Argentine tango.
He began with piano and classical music lessons at a young age and later taught himself melodeon and concertina. In the early 1980s, he discovered the bandoneon, which became his musical signature. By the mid-1980s, he had founded several tango ensembles, including Sexteto Canyengue. His international breakthrough came in 1987 when he was invited to participate in Astor Piazzolla’s Broadway tango musical Tango Apasionado in New York.
One of his most famous performances was at the wedding of Willem-Alexander and Máxima in 2002, playing Piazzolla’s Adiós Nonino, witnessed by over 55 million people worldwide.
Kraayenhof continues to perform internationally, collaborating with orchestras, ensembles, and in crossover projects that blend tango with classical, world, and modern music. His playing is deeply expressive, passionate, and always emotionally compelling.
Barbara Kozelj
Barbara Kozelj is an internationally acclaimed mezzo-soprano originally from Slovenia. She studied at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana and continued her training at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, Netherlands.
Her career took off in 2013 when she performed in Bach’s St. Matthew Passion with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra under the direction of Iván Fischer. Since then, she has performed in opera productions, oratorios, and recitals with leading orchestras worldwide.
Barbara’s repertoire spans Baroque, classical, and contemporary works, including world premieres of modern compositions. She is renowned for her warm tone, expressive power, and emotional depth, captivating audiences as a soloist and recitalist alike.
Thomas Beijer
Thomas Beijer is a versatile pianist, composer, and artist. He studied at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam under Jan Wijn, graduating in 2011 with top honors.
He gained recognition early, winning the national piano competition of the Young Pianist Foundation at age 18. In 2022, he received the Dutch Music Prize, the Netherlands’ highest distinction for classical musicians, praised for his technical virtuosity, artistic insight, and storytelling through music.
Beijer performs as a soloist, chamber musician, composer, and improviser. He bridges classical repertoire with contemporary works, bringing creativity and depth to each performance. Since 2019, he serves as artistic director of the Young Pianist Foundation, mentoring the next generation of talented musicians.
Noa Wildschut
Noa Wildschut is a young, internationally recognized Dutch violinist. She began violin studies with her parents and performed publicly at the age of six during the Kinderprinsengrachtconcert.
She studied at the Sweelinck Academy of the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and quickly gained recognition in competitions, winning first prize in the “14 years and younger” category at the Louis Spohr International Violin Competition in Weimar in 2010.
Noa has since performed internationally in recitals, chamber music, and with orchestras. Signed with Warner Classics, her debut CD featuring Mozart works with the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra was released in 2017. She is celebrated for her musicality, technical mastery, and maturity beyond her years, considered one of the Netherlands’ most promising violin talents.
