Join us for the second annual
Great Blue Gathering
An evening of food, drink, music and fun, supporting Conestee Nature Preserve.
The setting couldn't be more idyllic for our signature annual event at the Preserve. Join us for a pleasant spring evening wandering our scenic meadow and enjoying local food, local drinks, local music, and offerings from local artisans. As evening begins to fall, you'll partake in a thoughtfully curated dinner and peruse a silent auction offering dozens of experiences, original artwork and other unique items. Finally, following dinner you'll sit around a warm fire enjoying drinks and dessert, as the sounds of spring come to life! And, if you attended last year, we know what you're wondering...
YES, the baby goats and local rescued wildlife will be back!
And, on top of that, ALL proceeds benefit Conestee Nature Preserve's mission to provide important opportunities for meaningful connection, discovery, and education in nature.
In all, your ticket to "GBG" includes:
- Full dinner in the meadow with multiple entrée options.
- Open beer and wine bar.
- Samples and experiences from a dozen local vendors.
- Live music by Tuba Gin!
- Fireside drinks and dessert.
- Access to silent auction items and experiences.
This year's auction will highlight our featured artist: Lisa Shimko and an incredible piece she created just for this event, focusing on one of our signature species at the Preserve - the Great Blue Heron!
Local vendors will be on hand, sharing samples and experiences, including:
- Bio-Way Farm - Work up an appetite for dinner with locally grown veggies and dip!
- Wildlife Rehab of Greenville - Meet some of their rescued, but non-releasable, feathered and furry patients!
- Red Clay Soap - Test their goat milk soaps, learn about their process and meet their baby goats!
- Wandering Bard - Enjoy meads crafted using ingredients sourced in South Carolina!
- Forx Farm - Sample a range of artisanal, handmade, small-batch cheeses!
- Buchi - Founded in Asheville, NC by two moms, their kombucha flavors are the best around!
- Vdovichenko Bee Farm - Sample honeys and honeycombs, honey lemonade, and learn about beeswax candles and beekeeping.
- Tuft Candy Co. - You'll be delighted and intrigued to try these gourmet cotton candies!
- Southern Grazer - Do you like charcuterie? Of course you do.
- Pickled Pepper People - Our fire pits won't be the only thing keeping you warm. Try the Pikay Fire Slaw!
