Join us onboard the North Star for a magical 3D projection experience through light and sound. From the second you step in the train car and look through the window, you’ll be immersed in a whole new world. CHOO CHOOO, the whistle blows as you depart the station and emerge in the Canadian wilderness. Spot animals, big and small, through trees and valleys. When the sun sets and the moon rises, spirit animals will come out to play while they guide you and the North Star through a winter wonderland. Mountains, valleys, villages, oceans flash by as you make your way further and further North, all with the magnificent background of the Northern Lights. Oh - a flash of a red coat, the footprint of a reindeer - is that who we think it is? Disembark from the North Star to discover 3D Santa in his natural element, the North Pole, before finishing your journey you can choose to capture the memory by taking a photo with your own device.

A reservation fee is required to book your spot. All proceeds from your reservation fee will be donated to Qajuqturvik Community Food Centre. A non-profit organization that strives to strengthen health, belonging and food sovereignty in Iqaluit utilizing the power of tradition and community. Qajuqturvik improves access to good food by supporting local harvesting, preparation, education, training, and advocacy. Q: How long is the North Star experience?
A: Approximately 10 minutes.

Q: Can I cancel my reservation?
A: Yes. To receive a full refund you must cancel no later than 24 hours prior to your appointment time. Please allow up to 7-10 business days for your refund to be applied.

Q: Can I bring additional guests with me to my reservation?
A: We are only able to accommodate the precise number of guests you reserved. Children ages 2 and under that can sit on your lap or in a carrier do not require a dedicated reservation.

Q: Is there somewhere to store my child’s stroller/carrier?
A: Yes, your child’s stroller/carrier can be stored next to you on the train during the experience.

Q: Will you be cleaning the North Star Imagination train?
A: We are committed to the industry’s highest cleanliness standards, and we comply with the protocols and guidelines established by public health and governmental authorities. Our North Star Experience will be thoroughly cleaned between showings. Our COVID-19 Protocols can be found here

Q: Is the train wheelchair accessible?
A: Yes, when making your reservation be sure to select the designated wheelchair accessible location.

Q: Will Santa be at the North Star Experience in person?
A: In an effort to provide the safest possible holiday experience for our shoppers this year, Santa and his furry friends will make a virtual appearance in 3D at the end of the experience. You can capture the memory by taking a photo with your own device.

Q: Will professional photos be provided?
A: Photos/Videos with our 3D Santa can be captured using your personal device or camera (no flash photography please). There will be an ambassador on site to assist you in taking photos with your personal device if required.

Q: Can I remove my mask for photos?
A: According to guidelines issued by provincial health authorities, masks or face coverings are mandatory for people when visiting our shopping centre.

Q: Where does my reservation fee go?

Q. Is there a cut off time to be able to cancel and receive a refund?
A. The health and safety of our visitors, tenants, and their employees and clients are our number one priority. We are relying on the collective cooperation of people who may be showing symptoms associated with COVID-19 to remain at home; therefore, all cancellations will receive a refund.

Q. How do I reschedule my appointment?
A. You may cancel or modify your reservation using the confirmation email you received upon booking. Please note once the appointment is cancelled appointment choices may be limited.

Q. What is the policy due to Inclement Weather?
A. In the event the shopping centre must close due to inclement weather, all bookings for that day will be refunded.
