Paint a Bear Workshop
Join us for a free family art session at Congleton museum and paint your own plaster bear.
23 July, 11.00 - 12.00 / 1.30 - 2.30 pm
The workshop is inspired by Our Disappearing Nature, Congleton Museum's new summer programme exploring how local wildlife and landscapes have changed over the last 100 years. The story follows a bear who has just woken up after a century-long sleep and is trying to discover what has changed in the world around him. Children will paint two bears: one to take home and one to become part of a new bear trail around Congleton.
The session will be led by a Bossons factory painter, sharing skills from one of Congleton's most famous creative traditions.
This workshop is a part of Nature Thursdays at Congleton Museum. Alongside the workshops, families can explore Our Disappearing Nature exhibition with self-guided trails and activities throughout the museum.
Entry and workshops are free of charge. Donations are welcome, with a suggested donation of £3 per child.
Suitable for children aged 3+.
