Create a Window into Congleton

Join us for a free family art session at Congleton Museum and help create a large community picture of Congleton.

27 August, 11.00-12.00 / 1.30-2.30 pm

Each child will decorate a postcard-sized card using bears, flowers, local scenes and a range of craft materials. The finished cards will be placed together inside a large frame, creating a shared artwork designed to look like a window onto Congleton.

The workshop is inspired by Our Disappearing Nature, Congleton Museum's new summer programme exploring how local wildlife and landscapes have changed over the last 100 years. Children can show the town as they see it today or imagine what our bear might discover after waking from a century-long sleep.

This workshop is part of Nature Thursdays at Congleton Museum. Alongside the workshops, families can explore the Our Disappearing Nature exhibition, with self-guided trails and activities throughout the museum.

Entry and workshops are free of charge. Donations are welcome, with a suggested donation of £3 per child.
