Transformative healthcare solutions are increasingly found at the interface between medicine and technology. Linking diverse perspectives across disciplines and regions can accelerate our capacity to generate innovations and overcome the challenges to reaching end-users successfully. By looking beyond traditional network boundaries we can support a dynamic health tech ecosystem that fosters knowledge exchange and collaboration.

The Connectivity Mix thought leadership paper and event series looks at connectivity as a tool for strengthening our impact and catalysing health tech innovation across the UK.

Join us at our Birmingham panel event and networking to explore how greater connectivity can accelerate innovation and add your thoughts to the conversation!

The event will bring together academics, research campus managers, health tech start-up and SME leaders, knowledge exchange facilitators, tech transfer/commercialisation experts and investors.

At previous events in Manchester and Cambridge we discussed:

  • The opportunity for improved investment distribution to accelerate innovation journeys.
  • Academic-Industry collaboration, from knowledge exchange to spinning out.
  • The role of physical and digital infrastructure to unlock sector growth.

Speakers

  • Jack Kennefick (Co-founder and CEO, Tagomics)
  • Pam Waddell OBE (Director, Innovation Alliance for the West Midlands & Chair, Venturefest West Midlands)
  • Paula Whitehouse (Deputy Dean Enterprise and Engagement, Aston University & Director, Aston Centre for Growth)

  • 17:00 - Registration
  • 17:30 - Panel Discussion
