I am pleased to announce that I will continue with my bi-monthly events at the Natural Health Hub in Walthamstow for the entire Autumn term.
My sessions are bespoke, that is, I adapt to what the participants need in the moment. There are 2 things I will always do though: a meditation practice and ask participants to set their own intention(s).
- We can have dynamic sessions in which we are more actively involved: we move, we use our voices as mirror of our internal state, wether it is to sound our pain, our joy, our anxiety, our tensions or sensibilities. We make soundscapes or music together, which can involve drumming, body percussion and singing.
- Or else, participants decide to take it more easy and more "passively" and just sit or lie down and are bathed by the sounds of maracas, rain maker, shamanic drums, crystal bowls, koshi bells and more.
Dates: 20th September (Autumn Equinox) , 4th and 18th October, 1st (Samhain/Dia de Los Muertos), 15th and 29th November.
Time: 4 to 5PM, arrive 5 minutes later please!
What to bring: a mat, a blanket and bottle of water.
About Elizabeth:
Elizabeth has been a musician for over 18 years. She is mainly a percussionist of Middle Eastern, Turkish and Balkan genres of music, reflecting her Ethnomusicology studies at SOAS in those areas. She grew up within the Gurdjieff Groups in Venezuela, where she was born and where she grew up before settling in London since 1999. Gurdjieff teachings were one of the "spiritual seeds" of her constant questionings and search for knowledge and understanding of us humans and the World, as well as her passion for music from the "East". She has done all 3 levels of Reiki by 2020 and finished her studies in Sound Healing back in 2022. Since then, she has been treating people one to one in her home studio or facilitating Sound Journeys for group of people as well as Mindful Drum Circles since 2023. Elizabeth is currently in the middle of her Astrology studies and she tries to blend this knowledge in her Sound Journeys as well.
