FIFO & Chill August Session - Breathwork and Relaxation

Sat 29 Aug 2026 5:45 PM - 7:45 PM AWST Folk Space - Osborne Park, 6017

FIFO & CHILL

A space to switch off, reconnect and find a little more balance.

Led by Rachael | with support

Working FIFO can be a great lifestyle but it can also be demanding.

Long shifts. Early starts. Nights. Travel. Time away from home. Then the transition back into family, relationships, responsibilities and everyday life.

Maybe you recognise some of this:

  • Finding it hard to switch off when the shift is over?
  • Coming home but still feeling like you are in work mode?
  • Finding it difficult to sleep or properly unwind?
  • Feeling disconnected from yourself, the people around you or life outside of work?
  • Feeling wired, tired, restless or like your system never fully settles?

Or maybe you simply recognise that your FIFO lifestyle could use a little more balance.

That's where FIFO & Chill comes in, FIFO & Chill is a practical wellbeing framework led by experienced professionals who have created a space for people working within a busy lifestyle.

The Space.

  • Space to slow down.
  • Space to get out of work mode.
  • Space to reconnect with yourself.
  • Space to meet other people who understand.

And space to explore practical ways of creating a healthier and more balanced life without it feeling clinical. This is not about sitting in another room being told how you should look after yourself. And it's not about assuming that something has to be wrong before you make time for your wellbeing.

FIFO & Chill brings people together in a relaxed, non-clinical setting to experience different approaches to rest, regulation, connection and wellbeing.

Each FIFO & Chill event will offer something a little different.

We may explore breathwork, relaxation, nervous-system awareness, movement, connection, practical wellbeing education and other experiences that can help us understand what our bodies and minds might need after spending so much time in go mode.

We create the space.

You decide what you need from it. For some people, the transition between site and home is easy. For others, it takes a little longer for the body and mind to catch up. You might notice changes in sleep, energy, patience, relationships, mood or your ability to relax. You might simply feel like you're constantly moving from one responsibility to another. FIFO & Chill creates a dedicated space to interrupt that cycle. Not through another lecture. Through experience, connection and practical tools you can actually use. You will be around people who understand that FIFO has its own rhythm, challenges and benefits. There is no expectation to share your personal story. There is no pressure to be anything other than yourself.

Come as you are.

AUGUST FIFO & CHILL

EVENT 01 — BREATHWORK

A guided experience of breathwork, downregulation and relaxation.

The session will led by Rachael & support.

For our first FIFO & Chill event, we're starting with something we all carry with us every day: Our breath.

This evening is an opportunity to step away from the usual pace of life and experience guided breathing, relaxation and downregulation practices in a supportive group environment.

You don't need to know anything about breathwork!

You don't need to meditate and you definitely don't need to be "good" at breathing!

The evening is about becoming a little more aware of what happens when we intentionally slow things down and give the body some space to settle.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The August experience will combine practical education with guided experience.

We will explore:

  • Downregulation and relaxation practices
  • An introduction to Conscious Connected Breathwork
  • Guided conscious breathing
  • Time to rest and integrate afterwards with the oppertunity to connect with like minded people and take home practical techniques you can take away and use in everyday life

The breathwork will be introduced gradually at the pace of each individual. You may choose to stay with gentle breathing, explore connected breathing, slow down, return to your normal breath or rest at any point.

THE AIM OF THE NIGHT

We are creating an opportunity for you to:

RELAX
Let go. Unwind. Give yourself permission to slow down.

BREATHE
Become more aware of your breath and how it can influence the way you feel.

RECHARGE
Give yourself some space before returning to everyday life.

Most importantly, we want you to leave with something practical. Something you might use after a long shift. Before sleep. When you arrive home. Before heading back to site. Or simply when you recognise: "I need to switch off for a while."
