Celebrating Türkiye's Coastal Conservation

June 10th, 2026, from 6:30–9:30 PM at Royal Society of Medicine, London

Turquoise Coast Fund (TCF) is an environmental charity supporting locally led initiatives across Türkiye’s coastline. By connecting local knowledge with flexible funding, TCF helps grassroots organisations scale their impact to protect and restore this biodiverse region.

Since 2022, TCF has supported 46 projects and awarded over €480,000 in grants to community driven efforts. Examples of projects supported include fish owl conservation in Mersin, protecting seagras in Bodrum, and restoring fire affected landscapes in Marmaris. See our portfolio here.

This event will bring together stories from the field. We are delighted to welcome free diver and ocean advocate Şahika Ercümen and conservation biologist Prof. Dr. Oğuz Türkozan as special speakers for the evening. Together, they will share perspectives on marine conservation, biodiversity protection, and the importance of collective action for Türkiye’s coasts.

We hope you can join us for a special evening celebrating the people and projects shaping the future of coastal and marine conservation in Türkiye.

If you are unable to attend but would still like to support our work, you can contribute through our donation page. And we would be deeply grateful if you could share this invitation with your network.
