Art In The Sun

Join us in the wonderful surroundings of The Sun Pub on North Street, for an evening of art, conversation, and creativity.

Each month we meet and experiment with different themes and techniques. Recent sessions have featured watercolour and drawing pens, sculpting with air dry clay, a variety of printmaking techniques, and collage. Doug Shaw is your artist in residence and will be on hand to provide any assistance you might need. We usually work with a range of materials including ink, paint, drawing pens and more, and you will see how simple techniques can create dramatic effects. This session will start at 7.30pm and run through to around 9.00pm - with a bit of flex if you need some more time.

The theme for July will be confirmed no later than Friday 11th July - when this page will be updated and all ticket holders informed separately by email.

No experience is necessary, we welcome people of all abilities. The most important things to bring with you are your enthusiasm, and a willingness to try something new.

Tickets are just £19.50 and include all materials. If you want to bring a friend, there are a couple of special tickets available which admit two people for a total of £36. Grab a ticket, buy a drink, and we shall make some amazing art together.
