MAY'S TOPIC... SHOULD ALL ORGANISATIONS REALLY BE EXPERIMENTING??!
Come and join us to ask questions and share your own experiences.
5.00-5.30: ARRIVE
5.30: KICK OFF
5:40: TALK 1: "Stop saying I should do Experimentation!" - Ellie Hughes (a CONVERT regular) will give us a preview of her Experimentation Elite talk in June. She'll explain why she thinks Experimentation and Testing are brilliant, but only in the right circumstances; it's not right for everyone, all the time. Organisations need to understand when to Experiment and when not to.
5:55: TALK 2: Panel. Joe Johnston (Launch) will host a panel discussion with Ellie, plus Joe Doveton (Binary Bear) and Irina Annells (AND Digital). They'll share their thoughts on when it's right to test, when it's best NOT to test and what you can do as an alternative.
6:10: DISCUSSION: Chance to ask questions and share your own stories & tips. Please come prepared to share.
6:20: 60 SECOND SHOUT OUTS: Your opportunity for an announcement. Recruiting? Event coming up? Help needed? Selling something? Shout about it.
6:30-7: DRINKS, PIZZA AND CONVERSION CHATS
7: Home? Drink? Paddle Boarding? Poker?
-------
SPONSORS: The Pizza and Drinks in May will be kindly paid for by Eclipse Group who are a CRO, UX, Design and User Research Agency. Their clients include Halfords, Joules, The British Heart Foundation and The Post Office. Their goal is to make Digital Experiences Beautifully Simple.
HOW MUCH DOES A TICKET COST? Most tickets are £5. Our sponsors kindly paying for the food & drink, but this £5 is a small additional contribution. Any money left over after each event is donated to a Bristol based charity (previously Frank Water). We do however have a FREE ticket option for those who are unable to pay the £5 (we won't ask questions, we trust you to choose accordingly).
WHAT'S THE VENUE? TCNUK very kindly allow us to use the break out space at their shared office space in Temple Studios, Bristol. They "provide creative places for curious minds. TCN transforms unloved buildings into surprising places that help businesses thrive. For one-person brands or established companies, our flexible workspaces and communities bring people together to do great things." Find out more at https://www.tcnuk.co.uk/
WHERE IS IT? [what3words: ///tile.lawn.saints] Atomic Smash are our hosts, right next to Bristol Temple Meads Train Station (First Floor, Temple Studios, Unit 1.15, Bristol, BS1 6QA). See map below. Come up the stairs on the outside of the building to the first floor and someone will let you in. Or, you can use the lift which is inside the big "double garage" style opening - reception can let you know the access code.
CAN I PARK NEARBY? Free parking: There are a few spaces available for free parking (spaces #82-88) for up to 4 hours. Visitors must register using the tablet in the Temple Studios kitchen. Paid parking: Spaces 1-28 (along the Temple Meads approach ramp) can be booked via RingGo. Cost is c. £7.50.
IS THE MEETUP OPEN TO ANYONE? Yes. We want to make the meetup as welcoming as we can and we have some lovely feedback from people who say that they always feel welcome and comfortable. INCLUSIVITY is important to us, so if you're interested in Websites, Digital Marketing, Conversion Optimisation, Analytics, UX and more, we really want you to feel able to attend. We'd love any feedback or questions to help make it as inclusive, welcoming and accessible an event as possible. If you have any questions at all, call or WhatsApp Ryan on 07811 3514242.
CAN I HELP? Yes! We're always open to new people VOLUNTEERING. We have a small group of volunteers who help (meeting & greeting, ordering the pizza, sharing invites, hunting down sponsors etc) but we welcome any new volunteers who'd like to join the CONVERT gang to support future Meetups. Have a "no obligation" chat with Ryan 😁.
