Learn how to apply syntropic agroforestry principles in a range of situations, including commercial sized food production, food forests and even a small back garden. This workshop will include both theory and practice
Syntropic Agroforestry supports the establishment of highly productive food systems which tend to be independent of inputs. Benefits include soil formation, microclimate regulation and harnessing of water cycles – the harvest becomes a side effect of ecosystem regeneration.

About the Facilitator
Astrid has been working on a food forest in West Clare for 24 years. On 1½ acres of poor, boggy land, 11km from the sea, she has created a regenerative haven with thousands of different plants producing most of her food and all of her firewood and basket willow.
She learned from students of Ernst Goetsch and further developed her approach, adapting these techniques to the Irish climate.
