Mastering Period Study Question Stems: Pearson Edexcel GCSE History
Led by trusted CPD trainer and senior examiner Sam Slater, this 60-minute webinar focuses on the distinct question stems that define the Paper 2 Period Study.
Drawing on examples from Superpower relations and the American West, Sam provides practical, classroom-tested techniques to ensure your students move beyond simple factual recall to master the core concepts of consequence, narrative, and significance. This is focused, specification-specific insight delivered at a pace that fits the schedule of a busy department.
During the session, we will cover how to:
- Break down the distinct mark scheme requirements for consequence and importance questions, giving students clear structures that secure top-band marks
- Teach students how to construct a genuine analytical narrative, ensuring they explain how one event led to another rather than just writing a chronological story
- Tackle common misconceptions and exam traps students fall into across both the American West and Superpowers units
Can't attend live? We share the recording with all delegates for six months. If you join the live session, we will bump that access up to nine months for your department.
