Coram Charter Patron Reception 2025

At this free event find out how you can come together with fellow supporters to collaboratively create a world of opportunity for children and young people.

• Learn about Coram’s long history through the Foundling Museum’s objects, stories and spaces.
• Hear from Coram’s CEO, Dr Carol Homden CBE, about the situation for children today and how, together, we can create better chances for them.
• Enjoy a glass of wine surrounded by historic art. Many of the artists featured were made Governors of the Foundling Hospital and went on to help set up of the Royal Academy.

The picture above was taken at the Charter Patron reception 2024 in the Foundling Museum Picture Gallery. This room is one of three historic interiors recreated from the original Foundling Hospital building. Displayed are important portraits of key figures from the beginnings of our charity including William Hogarth’s portrait of our founder Thomas Coram.
