Born from a shared love of Pinot Noir, Nicolas-Jay began with a friendship and a deep appreciation for the world’s great winegrowing regions. After a 2011 visit to Oregon inspired Jay Boberg to pursue his lifelong passion for wine, he joined forces with Jean-Nicolas Méo, bringing more than 25 years of experience from Burgundy’s Grand Crus and Premiers Crus. Together, they discovered the extraordinary terroir of Oregon’s Willamette Valley, ultimately establishing their estate at Bishop Creek Vineyard and expanding into a 53-acre Dundee Hills Estate. Today, Jean-Nicolas, Jay, and assistant winemaker Noah Roberts craft expressive Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from exceptional vineyards throughout the region.

Rooted in Burgundian tradition and guided by a profound respect for Oregon’s land, Nicolas-Jay wines are defined by elegance, purity, and a sense of place.
